As I write this from the comfort of my office chair one of our guests at the apartment is enduring the Dambuster Triathlon! A 1500m swim across Rutland Water, followed by a 42km bike ride, followed by a 10km run. Amazing!

Looking forward to Uppingham Feast Day on Sunday. Let's hope it's sunny. Walking up and down the High Street buying food from the stalls. Watching live bands play in the market place - sitting in the sun with a drink from Don Paddy's or the Vaults. Perfect!

One of the most famous trains in the world steamed across the viaduct at the nearby Rutland village of Harringworth today. A large crowd had gathered to watch as it made it's journey from London to York.
